Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris)

A familiar but no less attractive bird, its plumage seems to me like a patchwork quilt in perfectly themed colours. This shot, like the one before, is made I think by the clarity of composition and the sympathetic shades of the background.

    This is a great shot Tim as in particular you have captured all of its colours, which is difficult with a Greenfinch.

    Nice Greenie shot Tim, I always find them a bit difficult to photograph, they have that ''mean'' look about them with eye markings :-)

    I don't think I have ever seen such a clear shot of the colouring, it's marvellous.
