    I guess you were shooting very fast to capture this action?

  3. Thanks all. Frank, the ISO was bumped up to 800 (at least eight times greater than needed given the good light) to allow shutter speeds of up to 1/3,200 second. Even then, however, the moth's wingbeats were blurred in many shots. – Tim

  4. These are amazing photos! You've must have great patience and dexterity to photograph this one Tim. An HH was buzzing around me this afternoon, feeding on Hedge Bedstraw, from which I came away with pictures of the Hedge Bedstraw only.
